If you’ve been beating yourself up for failing to achieve your goals, chances are you’re also not being kind to yourself.
I know how frustrating it can be to make a new year resolution each year and not achieve even one goal at the end of the year. It’s a miserable feeling to experience. A feeling that can even cause depression and anxiety issues.
If you’ve been beating yourself up, you might need to do some work on your mental and emotional health, so that you can start to believe in yourself and achieve all of your dreams without fear.
Failure to achieve your goals can cause you to never believe in your self but the moment you start being kind to yourself and see things from a positive perspective, things can turn for the better.
Let’s look at why you need to give yourself some grace when you fail to achieve your goals.
The Power Of Your Thought
You have the power to change your thoughts.
Your thinking defines your life. The moment you decide to change your thoughts is the day your life will completely change your life. The only reason we are hard on ourselves and give ourselves less grace is that we have not taken charge of our thoughts.
Shift your thinking and watch your life transform
You can change your thoughts by simply doing the 3 things:
Read self-improvement books
Listen to the Personal development podcast
Surround your self to great minded people
No amount of fear can overpower your transformed thoughts
What To Know About Fear
Fear is actually not a bad thing. Fear is just false evidence appearing to be real. It doesn’t have control over you, you have so much power within you.
Turn your fear into opportunities
Facts about failure
Failure is supposed to happen at some point in your life. It’s part of the process of life, it’s the only way for you to grow. Growth comes after failure because you learn lessons.
Unachieved dreams help you approach your new goals positively and provides you the wisdom to avoid going through past situations.
Former American president Barack Obama stated that “we are bound to fail at some point because nothing worth having happens overnight” Just because you weren’t able to achieve your goals doesn’t mean your dreams are dead.
Failure makes us stronger
Failure is meant to shift us into who we really are. Tough times are moments that define who we are.
What To Do When You Have Failed To Achieve Your Goals
Write down all the lessons you’ve learned from every mistake you’ve made in relation to your goals. Keep a journal of all the lessons and review daily as a reminder of what you have done.
I’ve learned that when you fail to reach your goals, there will be a lot of negative thoughts that’ll run through your mind, especially when you try to create new goals, Expect self-doubt to take place in your life and also know that negative opinions from people and strangers will happen.
After writing down your lesson, your next job is to speak them out whenever you come across negative comments or self-doubts. Speaking out your lessons will help you capture every negative thought that tries to disturb your progress.
You only Fail when You Quit
Unachieved goals don’t make you a failure, the only time you fail is when you choose to quit.
Stop being so hard on yourself and give yourself some grace. Make a daily choice to look at life more positively. You’ve overcome a lot in the past and you can do it again.
Life is a wheel, things are going to work out for you in the future. Circumstances don’t happen to us but for us
Do your part and keep going and continue fighting because there is still room for you to transform your life.
Remember, things are working out for your greater good,
